​Last week, we became wxrks. ​

Not because we wanted a fresh coat of paint. Not because of a merger or a marketing pivot. We changed our name because "Bureau Works" stopped being true.

A "Bureau" is a relic. It belongs to a world of filing cabinets, middle managers, and layers of process designed to control complexity. For a long time, the translation industry needed that. We provided it.

But we’ve drifted.

We’ve moved away from the bureaucracy of "management" and toward the raw power of agency.

Our vision grew too bold for our name.

We realized that our goal isn't to help you manage a process, it’s to help you redefine what work is. We are building a future where AI doesn't replace the human, but augments them in meaningful ways.

Where language scales infinitely, but never loses its soul, its judgment, or its edge.

Bureau-cracy was friction. wxrks is impact.

We haven't changed our mission; we’ve finally given it a name that fits.

• Detailed Error Tracking. When a connection fails, you no longer have to guess why. You can see exactly where the communication broke down, allowing you to identify and fix the link immediately.

This update is about ensuring that every tool in your stack understands exactly what the others are doing.

In the past, hosting your data in Europe was a manual process that required a request and a conversation. Now, we are giving you full control.

This autonomy joins our SOC 2 Type II compliance and our stateless architecture as part of a system built with strict data boundaries from the start.

When signing up, you can now choose exactly where your data is hosted: Europe or the United States.

This is not just about the physical location of a server. It is about building a system that respects the legal and ethical boundaries of the data you trust us with.

The choice of residency is now entirely yours from your very first step in wxrks.

Support Conversations with an ePaper Trail.

The problem with a simple chat is that it is easy to lose the thread. When you have multiple requests open at the same time, a conversation can quickly become a maze.

You know you asked for something, but you have no idea where it stands or which thread holds the answer.

We have always believed support should feel human. Fast, simple, and direct. Even as we integrate AI to speed up the answers, the goal is to keep the experience fluid.

But fluidity shouldn't come at the expense of visibility.

We decided to keep the conversation and add the control. The novelty in this update is a dedicated dashboard for your support history. Now, you can interact with our support team and AI as you always have, but with a persistent, searchable view of every request you have ever made.

You can monitor the status of multiple inquiries in real time without digging through old chat logs to see what is going on. It is the speed of a chat with the accountability of a dashboard.

The Ghost in the Machine

Out of everything we shared to mark this new chapter, one piece resonated more than the rest. The story of our team.

We looked back at clips from twenty years ago and realized something.

The reason we killed the "Bureau" was not because of a new technology. It was because of these people. For two decades, this team has been the friction in the gears of "how things are done."

They are the ones who kept asking: What if we tried this differently? That spirit goes beyond features. It exists outside of trends or whatever AI model is making noise this month. While everyone else is racing to automate the human out of the loop, our team is busy figuring out how to give the human a bigger lever.

It is this specific human energy that carried us here. We are still evolving, still questioning, and still refusing to settle for "standard" twenty-two years later.
