Webflow Localize and the wxrks connector

Two ways to translate a Webflow site

Webflow Localize translates your site with general-purpose AI agents, while wxrks brings a team of specialized AI agents. On top of that, you can add human review wherever you need it and keep one translation context for everything you translate, not just your website. Here is how they compare, and what each costs.

Webflow Localize only

Webflow's built-in AI translation, extended on September 29, 2026.

  • AI translates inside the Designer, once or continuously
  • Runs on Google Gemini, chosen and changed by Webflow
  • The model's output goes straight onto your page; your team fixes it by hand
  • 10,000 or 50,000 AI words per language each month, then AI credits
  • Custom glossary on Enterprise only
  • Covers this Webflow site only

Webflow Localize + wxrks

Your Webflow content, translated in wxrks and delivered back by the connector.

  • Pages, CMS items and components go to wxrks and return translated
  • Add a human review when you want one: key pages to professional linguists, the rest to AI
  • Context Sensitivity, only in wxrks: a layer between your content and the AI that brings in your approved translations, glossary and style first
  • Runs on OpenAI models by default; choose the model per task on Fusion and above
  • One context for everything you translate: website, other CMSs, documents, code, subtitles, dubbing and video
  • Delivery history, restore, scheduled updates and AI-content flags

Generalists, or a team of specialists

Both options are agentic: both monitor your site, translate, and let you set tone and formality per language. wxrks adds five agents that Webflow does not have, for meaning, reasoning, quality, and quoting and allocating human review, and takes tone further with Sous-Chef.

How the AI is used

Webflow Localize only

  1. ReadYour text
  2. No context layerIts memory only reuses text that is identical
  3. TranslateGemini writes the translation
  4. PublishGoes straight onto your page

Webflow Localize + wxrks

  1. ReadYour text: its terms, tone and audience
  2. RememberYour approved translations, glossary and style
  3. PrioritizeRecent, human-approved and specific first
  4. DecideThe model weighs it all and suggests
  5. PublishStraight onto your page, or to a reviewer first. Your settings decide.

Context Sensitivity follows the steps a human translator takes: read, remember, prioritize, decide.

In wxrks the model does not translate from scratch. It weighs what your team has already approved and suggests what you are most likely to confirm. What it learns stays in your account, not in the model, so changing models loses nothing. On Webflow, one model chosen by Webflow translates directly, and Webflow can switch it: it replaced Amazon's machine translation with Gemini in May 2026. When the model changes, your translations can change with it.

What it costs for your site

      Assumptions you can change

All prices use yearly billing, the cheaper option on both sides. Words are spread evenly across the year, because Webflow's word allowance resets every month. Webflow does not publish how many AI credits a word uses, or what Enterprise costs. The Enterprise estimate grows with your site: a base from public reports that put contracts at $40,000 to $50,000 a year to start, covering up to 10 languages at the Advanced allowance; each language beyond 10 adds Advanced's list price ($348 a year); and AI words beyond the allowance cost Advanced's list rate ($0.58 per 1,000 words). A real contract may discount this. Both paths pay Webflow Localize to publish your languages; the Webflow site plan is left out of both. On wxrks, the range runs from no extra machine translation to all of it billed at the plan's overage rate. Linguist review is priced per project, so it starts at $0 here.

      Pros and cons

      ForWebflow Localize only

      • Nothing to set up; built into the Designer
      • Included in the Webflow Localize price
      • Reacts to page edits as they happen
      • Fine-grained exclusions per language
      • Repeated text costs nothing

      AgainstWebflow Localize only

      • No human workflow; quality is whatever the model produces
      • One model, chosen and changed by Webflow; quality can shift when it does
      • Continuous mode locks edits and replaces translations from apps
      • Translation memory is hidden and per site; glossary on Enterprise only
      • Allowance resets monthly; extra words use credits with no published rate

      ForWebflow Localize + wxrks

      • People in the loop, chosen per project
      • The model builds on what your team already approved, and you can choose it per task
      • One memory and glossary for everything you translate
      • AI-content disclosure and reporting
      • Published overage rates; yearly allowances absorb launch months

      AgainstWebflow Localize + wxrks

      • Costs more than AI alone, and linguists more still
      • A second tool and account to set up
      • Connector billed separately on the entry plan
      • CMS items created before a language was added need one step in Webflow
      • Page edits are picked up on a schedule, not instantly
      • Alt text and embeds aren't translated yet

      Which one fits

Webflow Localize only is enough when

      • You run a few languages on a small site
      • Speed matters more than a reviewed voice
      • Your team is happy to fix translations in the Designer
      • You can do without a glossary, or you're on Enterprise

Webflow Localize + wxrks fits better when

      • Pages that sell need a person to review them
      • You also translate your app, help center or documents
      • You need a glossary and brand terms on every plan
      • You want to choose the AI model and keep control when it changes
      • You must show which content was translated by AI alone

Using both? Keep Webflow's automatic translation on one-time mode, or off, for the languages wxrks delivers. Its continuous mode replaces translations that come from an app.
