Free-Flow

Translate Whole Texts the Way You Write Them

Free-Flow is the wxrks editor for running text, not segments. Write or paste a document, choose a Sous-Chef profile and a language, and translate, proofread or rewrite the whole text or any passage you select. Give it a voice, or turn a video into subtitles and a voice-over.

What teams ask us

Made for the Content That Never Fit in Segments

Marketing teams, creative agencies and localization teams describe the same situations on our calls. The text is the whole piece, not a list of sentences.

Creative copy that never fit a segment tool

A campaign, a tagline, a launch email. One language drops a section, another moves it, and the client wants three options with a back translation. So the work leaves the platform for Word and the design file.

Reviewers who need the whole page

Sentence by sentence, a reviewer cannot tell what the text is about. So the review goes back to Word with track changes, and the first question about any AI is whether it saw the whole file.

Colleagues who translate on the side

Sales people, engineers, product experts, a marketer on a deadline. Translation is not their job, so they paste the text into a chat window. They want one simple place that follows the glossary and keeps the text in the company.

Video stuck between tools

The subtitles come from one tool, the timing from another, the voice-over from a third, and nobody knows where the source files went. Every hop is by hand, and each tool bills by the minute.

How it works

From a Blank Page to a Finished Text in Three Steps

Free-Flow sits in the sidebar of your wxrks account, under Tools. Start a text, or subtitle a video.

01

Write or paste

Start a new text, or import a file. Headings, lists and quotes stay as they are, and the language is detected.

02

Set the voice

Pick a Sous-Chef profile, or set the domain, formality, tone, audience and instructions for this text, and choose the target language.

03

Translate, proofread or rewrite

Run it on the whole text, or select a passage and right-click. Every change arrives as a suggestion you can see, compare with the original and undo.

Any passage

The Whole Text, or Any Passage You Select

The text stays one piece. You decide how much of it the AI touches.

  • On the whole text: Context Sensitive translate, Proofread, Rewrite, or a custom instruction in your own words.
  • On a selection: right-click for Translate, Proofread, Rewrite or Shorter. The rest of the text stays as it is.
  • Proofread fixes grammar, spelling and terminology and keeps the wording. Rewrite rephrases to the audience, tone and instructions and keeps the meaning.
One paragraph selected in the Free-Flow editor and the right-click menu: Cut, Copy, Paste, Paste without formatting, Select all, then Context Sensitive translate, Proofread, Rewrite, Shorter, and Clear formatting
The Free-Flow editor with a text in English and the Sous-Chef panel: target language German, domain Localization software, formality Neutral, tone Conversational, audience localization managers and creative teams, and the instruction to keep the product names in English

Sous-Chef

Set the Voice Once with Sous-Chef

Sous-Chef is the wxrks agent for tone and style. In Free-Flow its profile follows the whole text and every passage you select.

  • Domain, formality, tone, audience, instructions and a creativity level, from literal to creative.
  • Start from a profile your team already set up for a unit, or change the values for this text only.
  • Translation, proofreading and rewriting all follow the same profile, so an email and its subject line sound like one writer.
  • A translation starts from your approved translations and glossary terms, including the ones that must not be used. Then the model writes the rest to the profile.

In control

Every Change Is a Suggestion You Can See

Nothing is rewritten behind your back. The AI proposes, you keep what reads right.

Suggesting mode

Shows what the AI changed, in place. Switch to Editing to write yourself.

Compare with original

Puts the text next to what you started with, so a rewrite never loses the source.

History

Lists what was translated, proofread or rewritten in this session, and what is still waiting in the text.

Versions

Keep Several Versions of One Text

One source, as many versions as the campaign needs, in one document.

  • Save the text and add a variant: the email, the post, the landing page, each with its own name.
  • Every variant keeps the original as its reference, so a rewrite never loses the source.
  • Export any version as a PDF.

Voice

Give the Text a Voice

The same text, read aloud in the language you chose.

  • Choose the language, a voice and a speed, and generate the audio from the saved text.
  • Listen in the editor, change the text, and generate it again.
  • Download the audio as a file.

Subtitles

Turn a Video into Subtitles and a Voice-over

Subtitles mode turns a video into timed cues you edit like text, then translate, voice and export.

  • Upload an MP4, WebM, MOV or MPEG, or an audio file. The spoken language is detected from the first seconds. An .srt or .vtt file can be imported instead.
  • Speech becomes timed cues, with the words per line and lines per cue you choose. Each cue is a line on the page with its timecode, and the video follows the cursor.
  • Quality checks flag cues that are too short, too fast or repeated, with one-click fixes. Translation changes the text and keeps the timing.
  • A voice reads each sentence when it was spoken. Several speakers can each get their own voice.
  • Download the subtitles as SRT or VTT, or render the video with them as a track or burned in.
Subtitles mode: Upload a video to subtitle it, or import an .srt or .vtt file; the Transcription settings, language spoken, words per line, lines per cue, speakers, context and keywords; the cue tools Split and Merge with next; and the Sous-Chef panel
Outputs for this variant: subtitles as an SRT or WebVTT file, the video with subtitles as a track the viewer turns on, or the video with burned-in subtitles The Voice-over tab: save the document with its video to create a voice-over

Tools, then Free-Flow. Two buttons: New text and Subtitle a video. The Portal links to it too.

Start from what you have

Import a text file, or paste. Headings, lists, quotes, highlights and code blocks are kept, and exported to PDF.

Zen mode

Hides everything but the text while you write.

Your account decides what reaches the AI

Each operation sends a defined set of content and nothing else, and any of them can run on your own engine.

Questions

Questions About Free-Flow

Does Free-Flow replace the segment editor?

No. Free-Flow is for text that is written and adapted as a whole, such as campaigns, emails, pages and scripts. Software strings, documentation and anything that must be predictable stay in the segment editor, with the memory and the review steps you already run.

Does it use our translation memory and glossary?

Yes. A translation starts from your approved translations and glossary terms, and the Glossary tab shows the terms of the text you are working on.

What does the AI receive?

Each operation sends a defined set of content and nothing else, listed operation by operation in the help center. Your account can route any of them to your own engine.

Can I see what the AI changed?

Yes. Suggesting mode shows every change in place, Compare with original shows the text next to what you started with, and History lists each action.

Can I translate one sentence and leave the rest?

Yes. Select it and right-click. Translate, Proofread, Rewrite and Shorter work on the selection only.

Which voices are available?

Microsoft and Google voices, in the languages they cover, at four speeds. A video can have one voice per speaker.

What can I export?

The text as a PDF, the audio as a file, and the subtitles as SRT or VTT, or the video with the subtitles as a track or burned in.

Does our content train any model?

No. No customer content trains any model, and it is written into the data processing agreement.

How is wxrks priced?

By the volume you process, in one annual subscription. Your team, requesters and suppliers are not charged per seat. In enterprise plans, implementation, onboarding, training and asset import are included.
