1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how Bureau Translations Inc., trading as wxrks ("wxrks", "we", "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at wxrks.com and in the wxrks platform at app.wxrks.com.
It sits alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains how we handle personal data more generally. Read them together.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage and software development kits, which do comparable things. This policy uses "cookies" to mean all of them.
Cookies set by us are first party. Cookies set by another organisation whose service we use are third party, and that organisation's own privacy policy governs what they do with the data.
Cookies last either for the length of your browsing session and are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies), or for a set period until they expire or you delete them (persistent cookies).
3. The categories we use
Strictly necessary. Required for the website or the platform to work. They enable core functions such as signing in, maintaining your session, load balancing and security. These cannot be turned off and do not require your consent, because the service cannot be delivered without them.
Functional. Remember choices you make, such as language or region, so the site behaves the way you expect. Declining them means some conveniences stop working.
Analytics. Help us understand how the website is used, which pages are visited and where visitors come from, so we can improve it. We use this in aggregate.
Advertising and measurement. Used to measure the effectiveness of our marketing and, where enabled, to show our advertising to people who have visited our website.
Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you consent, where the law that applies to you requires consent.
4. Cookies on our website
Our website is built on Webflow and uses Google Tag Manager (container GTM-KNTGG7S) to load measurement tags. It also uses Intellimize for on-site personalization and testing, and embeds video from third-party players on some pages.

5. Cookies in the wxrks platform
The wxrks platform at app.wxrks.com uses only strictly necessary cookies. These maintain your signed-in session, keep the application secure, and remember interface preferences within the product. We do not run advertising cookies inside the platform, and we do not use cookies to track platform users across other websites.
Content you upload for translation is not processed using cookies. It is handled as described in our Privacy Notice and our Data Processing Agreement.
6. Your choices
When you first visit our website you will be shown a cookie banner. You can accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose by category. Strictly necessary cookies are set either way.
You can change your choice at any time using the cookie preferences link on our website. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and takes effect from the point you withdraw it.
You can also control cookies through your browser: most browsers let you see what is set, delete them, and block them entirely or by site. Blocking all cookies will stop parts of our website and the platform from working. Instructions are in your browser's help pages.
Where your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of advertising cookies.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the cookies we use change. The version and date at the top identify the current text.
